Step 2

The first thing you need to do is register to become a member on the FSopen web site and submit your details: www.fsopen.co.uk and go to the Register on the main top menu.

2. When FSopen has received your registration you will be sent back a confirmation email which will ask you to confirm you have registered. This is to ensure you were the person looking to join.

3. When you are registered you will be able to log onto the web site through the log-on menu on the top menu. You will be asked for your user name and password.

4. Your next step is to download the Teamspeak 2 software so you can communicate with other members. To do this click on the password on the top menu and click on the link to download the teamspeak software on this page.

5. Install the teamspeak software as instructed by the installation program. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE WORKING SPEAKERS AND MICROPHONE BEFORE GOING TO THE NEXT STEP, thanks.

6. Run the teamspeak software and click on the Join Server page on the password page on the FSopen web site (you will need to log back in if you have closed your web browser previously)

7. You will be loaded into a room in teamspeak called the "New Player only-No voice" rooms. If one of our managers is online (usually between 7pm and 11pm UK time) he will join you in the room (please be patient if you are not seen straight away) he will enable your voice communications and will register you within Teamspeak. Please have your username and password you use to log onto the FSopen web site to help with the registration process.

8. OK now you are registered in Teamspeak you can move between the channels (or Rooms) and we suggest you go to a room(airport and ATC Position) and LISTEN to what is going on for a while.

9. When you are comfortable with what you have heard in Teamspeak and you feel confident, you can start up your FSX, join the FSopen session and interact with the ATC and other players.
