| Applying for ATPL | |
Fatih Aydogduoglu ![]() 15th Sep 2010 17:05:32 | I am going to apply for my ATPL license tomorrow which will cost 43,000 €. The education will begin in a month and I am already very nervous. Wish me luck. |
Alex Lambros 15th Sep 2010 18:02:01 | You get your ATP when you are in the airlines, you are probably saying you are going to get your PPL CPL and CFI? If so than I wish you luck. |
Mick McG ![]() 15th Sep 2010 18:25:49 | Fatih,
I had to commit to a similar, if not quite so significant, sum of hard earned cash in order to convert my mil ATC ratings to a UK CAA licence. I never worked harder in my life during the training but the satisfaction of doing the job I love in the environment I'm now in made it well worth the risk. I hope you'll be able to do the same sort of thing. Consider it an investment in your future, work hard and enjoy the ride. The very best of luck to you mate and keep us up to date on your progress. Best regards, M |
Fatih Aydogduoglu ![]() 15th Sep 2010 19:06:31 | That's quite right Alex. The Course I am taking is a kind of government association. Turkish Airlines and most of the other private companies in Turkey hire their pilots from that association. Therefore I will get PPL+CPL+IR and finally frozen ATPL(A) license in the end. It will take 15 months in total. Type Rating Certificate will be taken later in the airliner that I will start working for. I have a long way to go. I will keep you posted. |
