| Server Problems and a request | |
Alex Lambros 5th Jun 2010 23:56:36 | As ATC, I have been having a lot of problems with the server lately.
The most important was that, after getting the aircraft on my radar screen, I could not see any of the changes until I left and re joined the session. For example, I was vectoring a plane that was unfamiliar with the area. I could not see him turning. According to my radar screen, he continued in his present heading at 70 knots after I told him to make a right turn. In reality he did make the turn but FSX was not picking up the changes. It was impossible to vector airplanes, and I had to ask them of their current position in order to clear them to land. A plane was 4nm away but FSX was showing him as 184 nm away. Another aircraft was on the ground and after I gave him taxi clearence he got lost somewhere in the airport. I had no idea where he was because according to my radar screen he was -453feet below the ground and outside of the airport. I think (and hope) this is a problem that is fixable. An other problem I noticed was on my Radar screen there where 10 helicopters, (one was below the ground, another on the ground, and all the other ones where in the air, climbing at about +5feet per minute) but they DID NOT show up in my "Session Info" page where normally all the aircraft, their heading, their username etc shows up. This has also happened with other aircraft, not helicopters. And finally, my request: When the Admin (not sure who) sets up the server, is it possible to use Real World Weather (Updated every 15 minutes, NOT static) so me and other controllers can use a ATC program that uses real world weather? |
Andy Halliday ![]() 6th Jun 2010 11:17:08 | Yeh there were over 15 maules in the server last night which made it well too laggy. Me and lance were up at egcc tryin to fly down to you at egcc but no joy as when i took off i was still showing as being at a gate. same for lance.
Only way to sort that is a restart of the server but goffa wasnt on. he cant be on 24/7 ;). Never had probs like this for a while maybe a password change might be a good idea for the server. |

Shouldnt freeze at all and you can see aircraft happily moving around. For VFR, well, its more realistic you need them to position report just like real life rather than a radar showing you. Weathers defintely a headache on occasion :) |
Dave Wave ![]() 7th Jun 2010 19:40:31 | The password server is changed, you'll need to ask someone in teamspeak for it.
We will keep changing the password to keep the idiots out. |
Andy Halliday ![]() 8th Jun 2010 21:01:56 | Thanks for that dave should be beter if we change the password at least once a week, ;) |
