FSopen is moving servers | |
Dave Wave 23rd Sep 2022 12:00:37 | The current isp was great but is not part of the horrible mess that is GoDaddy. So, after much research I've found a new reliable host https://krystal.uk/
Should move in the next couple of weeks, I hope downtime should be minimal. Once migrated the speed and uptime will be improved. |
Dave Wave 29th Sep 2022 10:27:10 | The migration is now complete.
Any issues please email me or post under here. Thanks |
Mitch Wells 29th Sep 2022 21:15:12 | seems some of the newer posts were removed during the migration. |
Dave Wave 29th Sep 2022 21:55:41 | Three posts were made after I migrated the database(2 from you and 1 from me on the xplane thread). I had hoped to move the database as a separate step to prevent this issue but it proved impracticable. So, for a period of 24 hours some data is going to the old server, some to the new. Its not ideal and I could resolve but there are other things that I'm working on at the moment. Email, dns, ssl etc etc. I still have the posts and may copy across once I'm happy the migration is complete. |
Mitch Wells 30th Sep 2022 12:51:40 | thats ok no problem, and juse cloudflare, easy to setup, easy to use, makes website quicker and its free. (https://www.cloudflare.com)
If you need any help just let me know. To be honest im surprised the website doesnt already use it. |
Joe Dirt 21st Oct 2022 13:38:41 | The new server seems to be much better than before. We haven't lost connection since you changed. Thanks Dave
Best regards |
Joe Dirt 28th Oct 2022 18:12:15 | spoke too soon |
Dave Wave 29th Oct 2022 23:13:21 | Hoping its not a problem my end? Could you get to the web site ok or not? |
Joe Dirt 1st Nov 2022 13:18:42 | Not sure Dave. FSopen server is still running on the host machine but it's no longer listed on the sessions page and the json file stops updating. I have to restart the software on the host machine to get it working again. This has been going on for months. I thought it was your hosting site but maybe it isn't.
