Jean-luc Hiriart Server![]() ![]() 5th Sep 2013 18:17:06 | thank you for your quick response, I have a dedicated server at 1and1, a Franco-German host. 100 Mbit / s down. windows server 2008 r2. I test without firewall too but I have the same message. I also tried deleted from the registry, but it is similar. I also disable the Cisco protection. same. I no longer understand |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 5th Sep 2013 20:17:14 | Jean-luc, I suspect that you have a fixed external ip address on your server or possibly fsx traffic is going through a proper firewall and packets in/out are being changed which makes it difficult for me to work out what interface to listen to.
Please can you send me a diagram of your network showing everything between your server and the internet and ipv4 assigned addresses to dave@fsopen.co.uk |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 6th Sep 2013 14:53:34 | As suspected this was because Jean-luc is running a dedicated server on an isp that has a complicated network setup. I've put a special bit of code in for their server so it should now work ok. |
Andrew Boucher![]() ![]() ![]() 9th Sep 2015 17:56:59 | hello, I am ruining this software on a VPS and having the same issue it wont open at all |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 10th Sep 2015 10:48:48 | Can users connect to the fsx session ok?
Is it just fsopen server that fails to pick up users joining? Confirm you are running standard fsx not steam edition? |
