| FSX-ATC.com gone? | |
Paul Collins 11th Jun 2013 20:16:24 | Any idea what's happened?
"Our site is closed" on all web pages, no messages on the FB page. |
David Bartlam ![]() 11th Jun 2013 21:12:57 | Paul,
Sadly the owner of the server hasn't got time to run the it at the moment and so it has closed down for the foreseeable future. He has been extremely busy as of late and the server was beginning to get affected by it. It's a great shame and I personally look forward to the return of FSX-ATC.com in the future. Most of their members have now moved onto FSXWorldwide which opened yesterday. |

OCD I get a free evening, I'll pop over to worldwide Paul |
Robert Dunn 19th Jun 2013 23:52:11 | Mr. Bartlam, Mr. Collins. I'm saddened to hear of this FSX-ATC temporary (hopefully) suspension of operations. FSX-ATC was a participant in a cross community group flight a while back. It seems that several FSX communities will continue that type of cross community event. The banner was created without the knowledge of this FSX-ATC development and that banner and planning still includes the name and logo of FSX-ATC as a scheduled participant. May I extend, then, an invitation to join in to FSXWorldwide? Whereas msFLIGHTS.net hosted the first cross community event, EasternHops is hosting this one. Please contact EasternHops, myself or WarHawK (Jake) at msFLIGHTS.net if you're interested in participating as FSXWorldwide or if your pilots are just interested in dropping by and flying. It is on 6 July at 15:00 EDT (23:00 UTC). Should we remove the FSX-ATC logo from the announcement banner? Might we replace it with FSXWorldwide?
Additionally, as I had offered to you in response to a previous outage of FSX-ATC FSX host server, your group is welcomed to use msFLIGHTS.net FSX host as a dissociated independent group if it might serve your FSX multiplayer needs better. As before, FSX radios are disabled on our server but you are welcomed to use a side channel on our TeamSpeak or talk on your own TeamSpeak or other communications medium. Many pilots fly our FSX host without ever dropping by our TeamSpeak or our website. We have much excess bandwidth and computer processing power, an FSOpen autokick limit set up to 1,500 packets and a strong fast router. If you think it appropriate to drop by FSXWorldwide facilities to pursue this cross community flight invitation further, please have someone contact me, EasternHops or WarHawk (Jake). I am newly back from extended European travels and only now reviewing these FSOpen forums. Sorry for this tardy post. Respects, Bob... |

David Bartlam ![]() 20th Jun 2013 12:15:28 | Bob,
We will have to see what happens in regards to FSX-ATC.. Hopefully it will reemerge one day. Since leaving FSX-ATC, I have created the FSXWorldwide (along with Worldwide Airlines), I am more than happy to send guys over to the cross country event. I'm away with work at the moment so I'm not at my computer with all my fsx bits and bobs, I have a standard laptop with FSX, no extras so, if you needed controllers, I'd be more than happy to help. If you want to get a banner placed on my events page, please email the details to admin@fsxworldwide.co.uk Regards |
Robert Dunn 20th Jun 2013 23:35:20 | Mr. Bartlam,
Thank you for the information contained in your most recent reply here in FSOpen forums. I have replied to you this day at admin@fsxworldwide.co.uk. I look forward to your email or forum reply so that we may proceed with those items we are discussing here. Respects, Bob... RSDunn2@msflights.net |
