Gerry Davy 3rd May 2013 21:22:51 | Hi Please can you help
My son and i live miles apart and we liked flying as pilot and co pilot in shared aircraft in Gamespy. We have tried putting each others IP addresses in but cant connect to comps. We have tried FsOpen and still cant connect to each others comps using sessions. Please can you tell me what we are doing wrong. Thanks Gerry |

You should then be able to share a plane (providing the host has allowed it, and most do. If you still want to use your own sessions then make sure UDP 6112-6122 is forwarded on your router and any firewall. |
David Bartlam ![]() 4th May 2013 08:43:37 | Hi Gerry,
Some servers don't allow it. If you are looking for a session that does, we at FSX-ATC support shared aircraft. Due to an issue unbeknown to me, you will only be able to share the default aircraft as stuff like the PMDGs have gauge failures. It's easy to do, once on the server, select your aircraft and location and tick the enable sharing box. The other player must select the exact aircraft and then look on the player list where it will say "Join Aircraft" next to it. There are plenty of sessions on FSOpen list that you can chose from |
Robert Cohen ![]() 4th May 2013 15:09:46 | The player joining aircraft must have there plane shared cockpit unchecked and its best when the plane that you are joining is on a cold start (everything turned off)then the copilot can join you. Starting the plane on a cold start this way all gauges are in sync with each other if you need more help you can chat live via our web radio website www.ehfr.bizor email easternhops@gmail.com we are hee to help in any way we can |
