Gregor Michaj 17th Jan 2013 17:24:22 | FSopen pages cannot be embedded in iframes |
Dave Wave ![]() 17th Jan 2013 17:38:33 | Yes, I have blocked the ability to embed fsopen pages within other sites.
I had to do this as some people were using iFrames to increase the position of their sessions. The idea is to encourage people to advertise our sessions via facebook and other forums etc. Embedding the page on your own site is not what we want to achieve. A link from your site is fine, embedding is not. I found one user had set iframe with and height to 0! So yes he was getting credit to every person on his web site, and they didn't even see it. |

Hi Dave just wanted to show you something on my website looking at the map all data is all good but on the large map http://www.fsopen.co.uk/maps/index2.php?HostID=300 here is a screenshot http://i45.tinypic.com/rgzd06.jpg just letting you know |
Laurence Woodside ![]() 19th Jan 2013 09:57:04 | I have just noticed the aforementioned post. I had no idea the use of "iframes" made any difference to anything other than putting information on a page. The link I put in was straight to the session listings page, moreover, the sliding display on my Homepage devotes as much attention to the qualities of Fsopen as to that of FSXMultiplay, I note no other subscriber has afforded the same such publicity, which I thought was the whole point of the exercise to advertise the platform of FSOpen by whatever means necessary. I did not realise it was about standings in a listing. |
Steff Missot ![]() 19th Jan 2013 11:37:39 | Laurence,
it's not us. We never used an iframe on this link: "http://www.fsopen.co.uk/info/sessions/?HostID=12" So nothing to worry. |
Steff Missot ![]() 20th Jan 2013 22:07:46 | Dave,
When a view people clicked the link we appear at least on the top 5, but after some time, we start all the way at the bottom again. Can you tell me why? |
Dave Wave ![]() 21st Jan 2013 13:51:30 | Now fixed Steff |
