David Bartlam ![]() 27th Jul 2012 16:13:29 | Need a little help from you guys if possible.. I''ve designed and created an airport (RAF Portreath) using Airport Design Editor. Everything has gone really well except for one problem... terrain. The altitude of the airfield is 282ft but it has hills and mounds. So my runways start above land and have hills popping out of them :/ does anyway have any idea how I can flatten the terrain so the area of my airfield is at one set height? Any help would be brill |
Joe Clifford ![]() 27th Jul 2012 17:15:04 | I beleive there is a option to set up an exclusion zone. I may be getting confused with another editor

Curley Campbell 27th Jul 2012 22:32:17 | Joe is correct.. you can draw an area around your airport using the "exclusion" tool. You will want to "flatten and exclude autogen" (after your area is completed).. so you wont have trees on your runway, etc.
Depending on how you started the new airport.. you may also need to use the ADJUST AIRPORT ALTITUDE tool to have it at the proper height... and eliminate the hills/valleys around your runway(s). |
