| 0.43 version issue? | |
Decio Pedroso ![]() 26th Dec 2011 00:30:35 | Hello Dave:
Hopefully you have had a merry Christmas and have a happy new year. Since the launch of 0.43 version, I am facing a recurrent error that occurs any time after starting FSOPEN, even before starting FSX programm. A message error shows up and after clicking on it, FSOpen closes. This message is in my Windows language, so I'm not sure how it is exactly in English but it is something like: "FSopeServer stopped to work. A problem has caused the programm stop to work correctly. Windows will close the programm and notify if there is a solution". However, FSOpen keeps working if I do not click on the message. At same time, FSOpen shows "Error in GetWebPage The remote name could not be resolved: weather.noss.gov". I'm not sure this is a 0.43v issue because I migrate my server from WinXP to Win7 64 at the same time this version was deployed. Is ther anything I can do to avoid this happen? Once again, thank you for your support. |

Try running as an adminstrator. Your antivirus software might cause the same problem. |
Decio Pedroso ![]() 28th Dec 2011 21:31:23 | Hi, Dave:
It is already running as admin. I just exclude its path from the antivirus. Let's see. I will let you know. Thank you. |
Decio Pedroso ![]() 3rd Jan 2012 23:05:25 | Hello again, Dave:
I have realized that sometimes my DNS was not resolving the address 'weather.noaa.gov'. I have changed my DNS, what fixed that and, so far the reported error did not happen again. Hope this may be useful for someone facing the same issue. Thank you. |
Mikael Holm 5th Jan 2012 14:13:45 | Well, you use your own ISP Domain Name System address. But if you run your server just like 24/7, I Suggest you to register Domain at no-ip.com, or some other place. It helps for your hosting.
