| The Learn To Fly Academy Is Open For Business | |

I am very happy to announce that the ‘LearnToFlyAcademy’ is now open for business. We have changed the structure a little bit. Instead of one training airfield we have decided to operate two. As John Godfrey is learning to fly at Dundee (EGPN) , he will be training students here. As I am learning at Stapleford (EGSG) I will be teaching from there. All students will learn from the same syllabus however, with a different instructor at a different airfield. “Where does the training take place!?!!?” The training will take place within TeamSpeak. You will share a C152 with your instructor and both be seated in the “Learn To Fly Academy Classroom” Channel in Team Speak. You will notice that you will require Voice Rights. This will be granted to you by either management or your instructor. Only the student and instructor will have Voice whilst the lesson is in session, other member are more than welcome to come and listen, however, to prevent general chit chat or interruptions (mean this in a nice way) voice will have to be granted. Any questions you would like to ask the instructor can be asked via Chat or You can use the request voice feature available under the 'Self' tab and give a reason for voice. We will hear a little sound letting us know we are wanted. “So How Do I Sign Up!??!?!” You can catch either me, John Godfrey or Laurence Woodside in TeamSpeak and we will sort out the next available slot. We will take you up for a Test Lesson as soon as possible to give you a taste of what it’s all about, allowing you to make a decision. We have decided to only teach a certain amount of students at a time as the only instructors are myself and John however, we will add you on a first come first serve type basis and let you know when a session/place in the academy is available. I have problems with the link on FSOpen site -> 'FS Pilots' -> Academy -> 'Join The Academy'. Looking forward to start - I need it! |
