Frequency Switching Question...

Is it possible that Rob Ott (the ROBOT), could inadvertently switch frequencies of the controlled computer?

I ask, because Chicago Flights Server positions the "Server" as a Tower position. We have a recorded message (Bitchin' Betty) that is broadcast across 118.75, and every once in a bit, Betty will stop.

When I check on the server, everything is fine, but the Tower Frequency has been changed. I, and only one other person, have access to the server, and neither of us are changing the frequency.

Could this be the FSOpen Server software (Rob)? Otherwise, I am stumped...

Thanks...

Back in the days when I used to host normal sessions with fsx voice I used to play a continuous announcement on the server by plugging the output from the sound card into the line in and changing the voice input in fsx to line in.

Occasionaly the server would change chanel just as you describe. (I think it often switched to the same frequency) This was before I'd written any hosting stuff.

So the answer is no, Rob Ott can't do this.

Just for the record, Global warming and Greece's debt is also not FSOpen's fault!

Yeah, I just set the Microphone to "Stereo Mix" and it loops back what is coming through the speakers, to the mic input.

Strange though, I was changing the freq back to 118.75, and in the middle of changing it, it switched back to the freq that it had changed to. It doesn't seem to switch to a regular freq, as it seems to be more random.

Anyway, I'll just keep an eye on it... Thanks!

That's good news on the Global Warming and Greece's Debt, though... O.o
