| FSopen Server, Why am i so thick? | |
Darren Martin 28th Oct 2011 18:09:05 | OK, please explain what i am doing wrong.
I have read your instructions but i just dont get what im doing wrong. Here are the 2 ways i have tried: Way 1 PC 1 Laptop - installed wincap and running. installed FSopen Server and running. PC 2 - Desktop, running FSX and hosting a session on Gamespy PC1 - FSopen server running but stating : FSX Status Not Running Players :0 Way 2 if i run the FSOpen server software first on PC1 and then host a gamespy session on PC1 i get FSX Status : On Line but Players :0 even when there are more than 10 players in the session, and no players show up in the manage Bans either. Pease write an idiot guide for me explaining what and how you do the complete setup (But dont tell the wife, she thinks im think already) Thanks Daz |
Dave Wave ![]() 28th Oct 2011 18:21:41 | Did your 10 players join before or after you started the fsopen server? |
Darren Martin 28th Oct 2011 20:00:59 | After
|
Darren Martin 28th Oct 2011 20:02:00 | which is the correct setup way 1 or 2
|
Dave Wave ![]() 29th Oct 2011 08:38:22 | The fsx server and fsopen server must be running on the same machine
From what you describe you should be running both of these on your laptop. When you connect to the session from your desktop pc, you will immediately show up in the application. |
Darren Martin 29th Oct 2011 09:56:03 | So i do have the correct setup, and i am starting the fsopen server before i even start fsx, but even when the Gamespy session is running, no players show up in the FSOpen server application.
Do i need to open/forward any ports to FSOpen, All the correct ports are open for fsx |
Dave Wave ![]() 29th Oct 2011 11:22:21 | The software works by capturing packets to/from your server. So if your fsx server is working then fsopen will. It will only capture players as they join.
If you're still having problems put teamviewer on your server and email me the sessionid and password. |
Dave Wave ![]() 29th Oct 2011 11:36:11 | ok, just connectedto your session and it didn't pick me up.
If you have more than 1 network connection it should ask you which one you want to monitor when the software starts. If you see this message try using the other connection. (It shoulod be the adapter that connects to the internet) |
Dave Wave ![]() 29th Oct 2011 13:57:43 | Turns out Darren wasn't using the standard ports. Changed his firewall and all ok now. |
Darren Martin 29th Oct 2011 17:09:52 | Dave your a star, cheers mate |
