| FSOpen Server Update/Install... | |
Jon Bowles ![]() 13th Oct 2011 14:10:22 | I just noticed that there are 13 entries in the "Programs and Features" of Windows 7 on our server.
When the client checks for updates, and finds one, it automatically downloads and installs the newer version. Is it suppose to uninstall previous versions as well? If so then this is not working correctly. If it is not, a simple "heads up" on it would have been nice. Should we uninstall ALL previous versions, if this is the case? Thanks Dave, Jon Bowles |
Dave Wave ![]() 13th Oct 2011 14:38:39 | Hi Jon, Someone else just bought this to my attention.
Somehow I managed to change a setting in the distribution that doesn't remove previous versions. This is now fixed, on the next update it will remove all these old versions. The fix is on the server so if you haven't installed .40 yet then you will get the fix. If you have installed .40 then wait till .41. You can remove the old versions yourself if you want to but I wouldn't bother myself. |

I just did (remove them manually), as I am cleaning our server out, at the moment. I know that Visual Studio can be a bugger about versioning, if the newer isn't named the exact same; or something like that. Again, thanks, and I will keep an eye on it... |
