| FSopen Server network error! | |
Dale Stroyde   2nd Oct 2011 19:45:24 | Hi, I have recently downloaded FSopen Server to use a bot on the sessions I host, i have however been having some issues with it.
I am using version 0.35 and upon clicking ok after entering username password session name ect, the window appears to have white boxes before going compleatly white. An error message pops up saying 'failed to open network', then another one saying 'unable to listen to traffic, now exiting'. I am hoping you may be able to shed some light on this matter. Dale Further information, i am running windows XP, acceleration pack for FSX and the session i was trying to connect to was in airliners. |

| Dale Stroyde 3rd Oct 2011 22:38:43 | Yes i have realised that i am unable to put it on the same pc that i am hosting the session from, i have now installed it on another computer this time the fsopen server opens but now says FSX is not running and there are no players, surely it must be able to access my session as it logged on for me?!
Is it a must that I also have FSX running on the other pc and if so how would i go about connecting with my other FSX? unfortuantly I am very new to all this so as much help as you can give is apreciated Thanks |
| Dave Wave 4th Oct 2011 08:37:25 | Fsx needs to run on your dedicated dedicated server. Start it up and host a multiplayer session.
FS open server needs to run on the same pc. You then join the session from other pcs. |
