looking to get new pc for fsx only. Got a budget of around £2000. Any ideas of a system to get that will be able to handle whatever microsoft are likely to bring out next. Look forward to coming back soon. Been working away. |

i5 2500k Decent cooler so you can overclock to at least 4.5 GHz GTX 570 4GB or 8GB fast + low latency Ram 64 bit Windows 7 £1000 should do it and keep the rest for now. Then if you want to upgrade for flight next year I'd recommend that you keep your options open by using a motherboard that supports SLI and you have a really good quality PSU of 750 watts or more. Then you can drop in another GTX570. March next year you should also be able to upgrade cpu to Ivy bridge (£250 for 20% performance?) Another option would be to replace the GTX570 with 1 or 2 of Nvidia's new card (Kepler) which should be out by then. |
