Jon Bowles ![]() 17th Jul 2011 21:32:41 | Hello Dave,
First, nice little program you have here. We have been trying it out for about a week or two, and are quite impressed! :-D Now... I have several people on the ban list that seem to be able to just keep joining. When they get banned (over and over), I see their names and IP's in the "Manage Bans" list, but they can still connect. I have noticed that there are some "white spaces" in the list. Is this client set to ignore white space? Or do I have to delete the "white space"? Also, we sometimes fly gliders (race from airports on the weekend mornings...), is there a way to have gliders added back, but set to the "Not Allowed" list as an option; like the Trikes/F-18s/etc, etc? Is there a way to "Not Allow" aircraft by aircraft type? That way 3rd party Fighters could be eliminated all together; if their creator has properly set the aircraft.cfg file... Thanks, Sven2157 Chicago Flights™ |
Darren Carey ![]() 18th Jul 2011 10:41:56 | hi there are a lot of none member coming in with aircraft that are not what they are sun there was a 737 doing 500mph movig like a fighter they change the aircraft config file to hide what there flying thats why you get kick and the ban list is if they dont follow the rules of fsopen |
Dave Wave ![]() 18th Jul 2011 11:04:02 | Jon, if you mean empty lines on the list then sure just delete them. I don't think it matters if they are there or not.
I've always banned gliders as it stops tow planes getting in the system. Banning by type is not a great option. It's a text field and can mean anything. It's also language dependant. i.e. "Zweimotoriges Düsenflugzeug" !!! |
