Collin Moore ![]() 22nd Mar 2011 19:37:41 | If you are up for suggestions as to some new features for your FSOpen Server Lite, I think you should have an option where, if the robot goes down in the middle of the session, it can reload ans still see everyone in the server, instead of having to reset the server, or having everyone leave and come back. Also, maybe to have a new chat command that posts the Robots message again. This would be best for use of Admins only, so players can't spam your chatbox with your own robot's posts. Also, if there is a donation area, could you link me to that in this forum?

Dave Wave ![]() 22nd Mar 2011 20:17:37 | Hi Colin, Thanks for the feedback, always nice to get it.
Not possible to show eveyone in the server after a restart, beliece me if I could I would. Not sure about the command to repost a message. Surely users can just scroll up the chat window to see the latest message? Sorry, you can't donate to FSopen. We are looking at ways members can contribute in other ways though. Watch this space as thay say!! |

Alex Hawkins 14th Apr 2011 00:34:16 | Forgive me for reviving an old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one if there was one already here.
I have a couple ideas/questions of my own: -Would it be possible to kick players if they have certain keywords in their aircraft's name, such as "F22," "Raptor," etc.? -Would it be possible to make a live server map/server information page for FSOpen Lite servers? i.e., frequencies of individuals, list of players, nearest airport, etc. Maybe something similar to the way Mr. Gilbert did his with FSHost, if you're familiar with it. |
Dave Wave ![]() 14th Apr 2011 07:28:54 | If you want to ban fast jets you're going to end up with a massive list and you might end up banning planes by mistake. There may be a better way to ban fast jets by looking at the characteristics of a plane. e.g. jet engines + wingspan less then 75 feet. Not sure if this is possible, I'll add it to the list to look at some time.
I am looking at makinging a premium version of the software that may incorporate some of the features you say. However, I might have to charge for this as I'm thinking of hosting data and stuff within a cloud app. Probably about 2 months time or so. |
