Hi guys, ive seen people asking what they should use to record FSX, well if you want to make a proper video, eg external views, tower view. Then try FSX Recorder, its like the internal recorder but you can record every single FPS instead of 1/4seconds so finally a smooth video. Plus you can fly in the VC and then watch or record from the tower!

Rory, there's also recording software called FRAPS which does the same thing only with this piece of software you can set the FPS, turn on/off external audio (i.e. teamspeak) and select a button on your keyboard to start/stop recording. Myself, Dave Wave and Geoff Server have got and used this software events in FSX and is easy to edit using windows internal movie maker. Give it some thourght then go from there.

Hi Andy! :)

I understand what your saying about fraps, but with FSX Recorder it saves your "flight path" not just the video. Therefore you can then play it back and while it flies your last flight, you can place camera's(eg right at the top of a stall looking down on plane), control the camera's, or even run you last path as "traffic" and follow in another plane!

Its hard to explain you should try it out, its more for making a aerobatics or storyline video, instead of just a recording of your screen :)
