Gerard here, I'm new to FSopen and want to do ifr flights on a regular basis however my ifr transmission lingo isint that good and I would like to improve. If someone could post useful links that could help just learn key things, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. Gerard Coyle |
Dave Bamber 26th Feb 2011 02:45:57 | Hi Gerard.
If you go to the fsopen site, click on ATC then TRAINING there are manuals you can download and print. They are spot on. Also the guys doing the ATC cater for all levels so dont be afraid to ask. they are very helpful. Welcome |
Geoff Server ![]() 26th Feb 2011 08:51:41 | Hi Gerard welcome to FSopen. The following link will take you to the ATC traiing pages and althought it is reading for ATC it also provides great information for pilots as.. ATC talk to pilots and so if you read for the pilot info it is a great training manual. the link is here: http://www.fsopen.co.uk/atc/training/ |
Steff Missot ![]() 26th Feb 2011 10:42:21 | Also I recommend you to read CAP413, in this document is everything explained.

Paul Humphries ![]() 26th Feb 2011 13:41:06 | Also.....just jump in tell ATC what you want to do and anything they ask you to do that you don't understand, just ask.
Any FSOpen ATC will take great pride in helping you learn the ropes, well any pilot would be the same also. So.... Jump in Learn as much or as little as you like And of course.....have alot of fun along the way. Welcome to the world of FSOpen Gerard! Paul. |
