| FSOpen Server Lite not responding to chat commands | |
Craig Boozer   15th Feb 2011 23:40:45 | I have installed the winpcap properly, restarted then started the FSOpen Server Lite software then finally FSX. When I launch my session, the server is posting every 30 seconds the message that I want, but it will not respond to any user commands such as !C or !Tower that is sent in the chat box by other users.
Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. Thank You. |
Dave Wave  16th Feb 2011 10:22:18 | If a user joins your session does the FSOpen server list the players details in a Grid? If not then you have not installed winpcap correctly.
If this is working ok then make sure that the chat window in fsx is visible on the screen. Chat commands are entered by simulating key strokes in windows. The chat window must be on the screen, not dragged off to one side. |
| Craig Boozer 17th Feb 2011 23:38:54 | I have uninstalled and reinstalled winpcap using the autoinstall to ensure that it is correctly installed. The FSOpen Server does not list players when they join, although it correctly reports when I am stating and running the FSX session. |

| Mashal James 2nd Jul 2011 06:20:05 | I am also having the same problem. I dont see a grid its just a grey box. My message comes up every 30 sec... but the cammands does not work. I am running everything as a admin. I even tried to install other winpcaps but still did not work. I use the auto installer to winpcap but no luck. |

Then I load the FSopen server, then the FSX but FSOpen shows a dark-gray screen at top and no users connected to the session are listed. What dia I do wrong? |

My problem was fixed. Happens that my FSX ports sere not at default 6112-6122 and also these ports were not open on my router forwarding rules. After fixing those, FSOpen started to work properly. Hope this information may helps. |
