Isak Kindgren ![]() 9th Jan 2011 10:45:37 | Hello guys,
anybody know if this headset (Saitek GH20) is USB compatible so I can plug it in and fix so I only hear TS in the headset and my aircraft's sound in my large speakers? I remebered someone saying that he used it so he could only hear TS in his headset, don't remember who it was? If it's not USB-compatible please let me know and If you're able to you can suggest another couple of headsets for me? /Isak |

If it's not compatible, don't faff with a new headset. You just need an external sound card to seperate the sound between T/S and FSX. Something like this should do: [url]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-EXTERNAL-3D-VIRTUAL-5-1-CHANNEL-AUDIO-PC-SOUND-CARD-/220685866214?pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_SoundCards&hash=item3361e714e6[url] For £1.60GBP you can't complain! |

Sometimes the recording quality isnt great- depending on what your up to. So to overcome this you can plug the mic into your normal mic port and then the headset into the external sound card. Then adjust the t/s settings to let the PC know what your up to!! - Its the cheaper alternative to have sound through different speakers or headsets, and keeps your main headset jack free to plug in speakers for the main FSX sound. ....
T/S Settings...
Hope this helps you get things sorted. Christian |
