Some big changes in this version

Ability to play an ATIS message from within fsx.
When you change frequency, if an ATIS broadcast for the airport is available then you will be prompeted to listen. Pressing ctrl+T in FSX will play back the message.

FSopen weather engine
You can choose to use this feature or not but main points are.

1. Thin cloud layer created on top of fog, helps prevent the annoying habit of fog appearing out of nowhere

2. High level clouds added at random
FSX gets its weather information from ground weather stations that rarely include this information hance its rare to see in FSX.

3. Reduced visibility layers
Looks like flying on a hazy day, looks realistic and stops you from seeing to far into the distance where fsx hasn't rendered scenery.

The above options are all individually selectable.

In addition I beleive I'm interpreting the weather reports better than fsx does, and also generating missing reports. FSX will leave holes if no weather report is found, or if it doesn't like the report which means you often go from lots of clouds and fog etc to clear sunny weather in 1 mile!

It's quick and easy to switch between fsx and fsopen weather so you can see what the differences are.

You must be in the fsopen session to use this feature.

Enjoy.

You can't upload on here, not enough space!

Stick them on some other web site and then post a link on here or embed as an image. There is a forum help link on this page that shows you how to do it.

I'll stick it on the list to look at Keith.

I thnink it's a fair amount of work, if I remember you need to generate a complicated xml file then load it into fsx.
