I've had enough, I hate looking out my window 5 miles out with 3 trees and 1 building all spread out on a mushy blurry and quite dull ground texture :(

I don't get it...I run FSX with everything on ultra-high, nvidia settings with AF 16x, AA 8xQ, High Quality texture rendering ??

I've tried FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION, LOD_RADIUS, TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT, fsx tweaks, none work.

The only time my FSX looks near-good is when I'm looking directly top-down, or am on the ground, above 1000' feet, i'm flying above mushy peas !?

Does anybody else have this problem, I've tried without REX, GEX, Ultimate Airport Environment X, even a clean FSX install ??

*rage*

Paris FSX on Ultra high, AMAZING....maybe not so!

Only time FSX looks good, finals EGCC 500 feet

Another time FSX looks good, top down, I often land like this!?

2 miles into the distance, *sarcasm* crispy clear textures !

(Gah I keep forgetting I can't edit post)

I've tried it without my GPU overclocked, tried it underclocked, same results.

I tried on different resolutions, same results.

I tried turning all settins down one by one, same results.

I can't even fly VFR like this, I'm ontop of the VRP before I see it =|

It's like all the textures & Autogen are in a small circle the size of my plane, I've tried every solution on google and none are working!..

Should be LOD_Radius I think.

I set this really high once and took 30 minutes to start a flight!

I have a Quad and a superclocked 9800GT, set it to 6 with no difference, only difference was a 10FPS loss, set it to 8, and I was stuttering all over the place, with no difference in ground scenery...

Extremely dense autogen on crispy ground textures - I only get this under my aircraft and about a few feet more

Then it goes all sparse and blurry

To be honest Joe you're probably not going to get much better with that set up.

Presume you have a Q6600?

Core2Quad Q8300 @ 2.5Ghz
Superclocked 9800GT 1GB GDDR3 256bit
7200rpm 1TB HDD (been slit up so FSX is seperate from storage and OS)
4GB DDR3

Can't overclock CPU at the moment...will be investing in a new mobo and cpu (probably a Q9400, as it's only £30 more, and has a 4MB larger L2 Cache)

Limiting my visibility and increasing LOD_RADIUS to 6.5000 -TOGETHER- helps, but without limiting visibiliy, it still looks blurry...I think I've got it figured now though..I will try fiddling with the LOD_RADIUS tweak a bit more.
