Richard Coton 5th Jan 2015 17:03:59 | I know it might seem a bit out of place but, as of Today, the dream has finally become a reality!
I have finally flown fully solo in a Piper PA28-161 Warrior III (G-COVA) around Coventry Airport (CVT/EGBE) in a Left Hand Circuit Pattern Runway 23. Apparently I did a perfect Landing. It's been four years coming as the medical has been the biggest hurdle (4 years) but now I am finally a pilot! 26 Hours 30 Mins logged 3 Exams Passed. 18 Hours 30 Mins to go 6 Exams to go!. |
Joe Clifford 5th Jan 2015 19:21:00 | Congratulations Richard,
You will remember your first solo forever! The feeling you get when you lift off (sooner than expected due to the lack of a passenger) is just amazing, accompanied by a cheeky grin although, very quickly knocked off by the realisation you're on your own up there! Haha The exams are a pain in the back side but they must be done! I'll be starting my ATPL exams soon. Now comes the best part, cross country flying! 150nm round trip with 2 full stop landings at 2 at fields other than your home. Great fun! If you have any questions or queries feel free to pop me an email - joe[at]clearhorizonaviation[dot]com. I know, during my training, I had questions that I didn't necessarily want to ask my instructor, so whilst I'm not qualified to 'instruct', if we have any questions then feel free to get in touch! Best of luck for the future! Won't be long and you'll have that little blue wallet through the post! Joe |
