Banning | |
Liam Smith 22nd Aug 2014 04:02:32 | I might be the only one who thinks this but I really think that there are people who are banning others when they should not and also I was banned for a reason that I was told about but they only said that I had a bad mouth and insulting someone, now obviously I did ask an admin if he liked to kick people because I saw home kick so many people. That was it. I knew what would happen if I insulted someone so I tried not to, yet that did slip. I was told why I was banned I asked a question and they cut me off, banned me, and said I was a dumb ass, they also did that to my friend who I never had seen insult anyone he might have gotten confused but he wasntz a problem and he got banned as well, so I wanted to know if there was like a limit for being banned like it would only be banned for a year or so, and if not I ask u to please put one because I do have fun and I'm sure lots of other people do to and flying is really the only I thing I have and I hate it when someone takes that priveladge away from me. Or u have to get the servers permission or u are banned for 4 months, because I do believe in second chances. Plz reply. |
Dave Wave 23rd Aug 2014 08:22:47 | FSopen doesn't ban people from sessions, but we do write the software that allows people to control who can and can't access a session.
If you are banned from a session it will be for a reason. Either modify your behaviour or find a session that tolerates you. |
Liam Smith 24th Aug 2014 12:21:22 | I am aware of that. I was asking if you (in general) could make an update allowing people to join at least 3 months or so after being banned. |
Liam Smith 24th Aug 2014 12:25:09 | Also they banned me from teamspeak too so i cant really show them ive gotten better (when i only did one thing wrong that wasnt ban worthy) |
Dave Wave 24th Aug 2014 13:43:40 | Suggest you try another session and behave in a way that won't see you banned. |
Liam Smith 27th Aug 2014 23:36:17 | Already have (even though i did nothing ban worthy). I'm really just talking about the future.

David Bartlam 30th Aug 2014 18:22:33 | Liam,
FSOpen Hosts (The individual session administrators) have a right to protect their sessions and uphold discipline to a level they see fit. There are too many people that come onto these sessions with the intention of causing uproar, unrest and just to be a complete pain. The server hosts don't just ban people for the sake of it, after all, they are all competing against one another to get the most pilots and indeed members. As Dave Wave has suggested, you have been banned from this session for a reason. I would advise you to look at your conduct, see where you failed and learn from it. People that create chaos and hassle seriously dent and ruin the regular members fun and it shouldn't be tolerated, and in your case, I'm glad that a session has acted. I don't know why you got banned from a session and I don't really care if I'm honest. All I'd advise you to do is learn from it. I'd also think carefully with what you write in these forums, the majority of the session hosts talk to one another and regularly discuss rogue members, usually just in conversation so I'd strongly advise keeping a clean slate and watching what you write in places like this, which everyone can see. |
