Starting from Monday 11th April we will be hosting ship sessions. Just like aircraft, ships are controlled by radio when entering/leaving port. We aim to start with Dover to Calais which is a 40 minute run. Our ATC guys will provide cove4rage at both ports. Looking forward we aim to do a Southampton to New York cruise which should take 4 days. There is a huge number of ships that are free to download, I've got some here as examples. We'll be putting a list together over the next week. Here's a little taster of what's to come. Gas transporter Container ship Navy fuel supply ship Ocean liner |

It's a fantastic ship as it has working arrestor cables, meatball and radar too. Although the catapults don't work it's still 110% great. Here's the download link for it. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=fsn+alpha+carrier&x=0&y=0 Or if you want to go vintage there's the USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier which also has working arrestor cables. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=cv+6+uss+enterprise&x=0&y=0 Both are very frame rate friendly too. |

Pete Gummerson 1st Apr 2011 14:58:44 | I personally think it would be pretty cool to have a ship going though the English Channel or going round the Mediterranean Sea it would just and something different to the game =) |
Steff Missot ![]() 1st Apr 2011 16:03:13 | Looks cool! |
