Martin Schrämli![]() ![]() ![]() 15th May 2021 21:17:23 | Is it enough if I buy open clouds for the server? Or do the clients also need this for real weather worldwide?

Martin Schrämli![]() ![]() ![]() 16th May 2021 16:44:50 | Ah y, its working for clients. |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 18th May 2021 06:53:35 | It sort of works but, clients will only pick up custom weather from within 50 miles or so of where the server is located.
Also, clients won't get updates when the weather changes. These are limitations of fsx. |
Martin Schrämli![]() ![]() ![]() 18th May 2021 23:31:52 | Ok, ty.
If Benni and I both still license OpenClouds on the client, will it work reliably for the online session when we fly together? |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 19th May 2021 23:04:19 | Yes, open clouds will override any server setting. |
Martin Schrämli![]() ![]() ![]() 4th Jun 2021 16:56:37 | Hi
I have registered three licenses on the same email address. One server, one desktop and one for Benni. Is this a problem? We tried it out yesterday. In the beginning it worked out great. But after an hour of flight, my scenery was no longer displayed. Only a brown green landscape like on the retort. Without houses, trees, streets, bodies of water, etc. I have installed Switzerland Professional. Could it be that the behavior comes from open clouds, or was it a coincidence? |
Dave Wave![]() ![]() ![]() 8th Jun 2021 07:50:36 | Hi Martin, it should work fine with different email addresses, it uses the licence key to match.
Open clouds would not affect the scenery regardless. |
